Full bodied, ripe berries and abundant spice aromas.
We stumbled on this wine over a long lunch in a small medieval town in central Italy and wow we’re pleased we did. Giulio II is a careful balance between two native Italian grapes, Sangiovese and Sagrantino, and the classic Bordeaux blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s a kind of Italy meets France in a bottle.
The result is a wonderfully full-bodied wine with silky integrated tannins. Packed full of intense aromas of raspberries and blackberries that are complemented with inviting spices of star anise, ginger, sweet liquorice and black pepper. Ripe pomegranate, raspberry and blackberry flavours are delivered in a luscious ruby red wine with violet hues. It looks great and tastes even better.

Blushing bubbles with gentle berry fruits and a wicked dry finish.
This wine literally blushes its way out of the bottle. The pretty pink colour twinkles amongst the bubbles to reveal a rosé whose soft fruity flavours of strawberries and blackberries give way to crisper apple, citrus, thyme and mint notes to give a refreshing and totally dry finish. Making it just the right balance for a rosé.
This wine instantly transforms a regular moment into a celebratory one and is an excellent alternative to your go-to aperitivo or party bubbles but don’t save it just for special occasions, this really is an elegant any-time, any-place wine.
