Didi Brut is the vineyard’s first born sparkling wine. We started to produce the wine in 2020. It’s creamy and buttery while still retaining a freshness due to being made in the Charmat winemaking method (which dates back to 1907). It’s dry with persistent bubbles and has become an essential accompaniment to the Blasi family’s world class butchery meats of juicy porchetta (a whole pig stuffed with herbs and roasted) and traditional Umbrian style cold cuts. It’s a wine we are very proud of.
The naming of this wine is a nod back to the person who made it all possible, my grandfather, our master butcher, whom we affectionately call Didi. He inspired and enabled me (Michele) to pursue my dream. Salute Didi!
Get your aperitivo rocking with a great antipasti board. Go beyond just cheese and cold cuts, add patés, mini quiches, salad leaves, nuts, fruits, pickles, chutneys, crudités, and serve with an abundance of crackers and warm crusty bready.
