Loaded with fruits and beautifully balanced.
This organic white wine is a bit of an aroma and flavour bomb. The luscious smells of passion fruit, candied lemon and gooseberry awaken the senses. When you take a sip or a great big slurp, your mouth is filled with generous tropical fruits and fresh lemons. It’s a bit like when you eat an opal fruit…it’s made to make your mouth water.
The lively and fresh flavours of this wine are so well balanced with a bright acidity it feels light and refreshing.

We love Du Rasole because its freshness and roundness make it really easy to enjoy!
It showcases the native Umbrian grapes, Grechetto and Trebbiano Spoletino, which are grown in the rich and ancient winelands of Montefalco. Our challenge has been to use all our skill to balance the body of Grechetto and the citrusy, fruity notes of Trebbiano Spoletino to make a wine that is original and true to the heritage of our land.
To create these vines, we grafted root stock from our pre-phylloxera plants and planted just one hectare of land to make this boutique wine. The name, Du Rasole, connects this wine to the vineyard they are planted in. “Du” means two and “Rasola” is an ancient term for an agricultural unit of measurement to indicate half a hectare.
We aspire to elevate these white wine grapes allowing them to gain a place in any wine-lover’s heart next to the more famous red wines of Montefalco.

Grechetto grapes are the main white wine grape in Umbria which is known as the green heart of Italy.
Tebbiano Spoletino grapes were rediscovered only 10 or so years ago and are now hot on the heels of Grechetto!
